Shirley A. Johnson, 92 of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. She was born to Hubert & Rowene (Schoessler) Wilken on February 25, 1931, in Carroll, IA. On July 29, 1951, she married Ralph A. Johnson in Wichita Falls, TX and together they were blessed with 3 sons.

Shirley worked as a secretary for 30 years at Millard Lumber in the cabinet department. Beyond her professional life, she selflessly volunteered for many organizations. One in particular was the United Methodist Women and throughout her years of dedication saw her fill every office available. Additionally, the Louisville Care Community held a special place in her heart, and she devoted many hours of her time to volunteer with them. Shirley was a staple in the Louisville community and well known for always having a smile and positive demeanor. She knew no enemy and was kind to everyone.

She is survived by her sons Richard Johnson of Cedar Creek, Randy (Lynne) Johnson of Pharr, TX; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and brother, Vern Wilken of Westside, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph, son Larry, grandson Edward and brother Dr. Dennis Wilken.

Memorials services will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 10:30 a.m. at the Louisville Methodist Church. The service will be livestreamed on the Fusselman Facebook page.
