Shirley A. True age 84 of Louisville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was born on January 9, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska to Hugh and Laura (Richards) Vargas.

She was united in marriage on February 7, 1975 in Rock Port, Missouri to Fritz True.  They made their home in Louisville.  Throughout the years, she worked as a bartender for the American Legion Post in Louisville for 40 years, cooked at the Hwy 50 Café and worked in the lunchroom at Louisville Public Schools.

Shirley was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for more than 40 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Louisville.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with friends.

She is survived by her son, Chris (Mandy) True of Omaha; Grandchildren, Makayla (Fiancée Trent Edgell) True of Muskogee, OK, Hunter True and Isabelle True; brothers, Robert (Carol) Vargas of Gretna and Larry (Jan) Vargas of Springfield.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Laura Vargas and husband, Fritz True.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home (Masks and Social Distancing suggested).

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Louisville, NE with Rev. Bob Wynn officiating.

Interment will be in the Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, NE.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or the American Legion Aux. both in Louisville, NE.
