Stanley E. Hunt was born on August 2, 1941 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Dell & Madeline (Wilcox) Hunt. He passed away on July 2, 2012 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 70 years and 11 months.

Stanley married Judy Strong on January 15, 1967 at the Douglas United Methodist Church and to this union they had 2 children Melanie and Christopher. Stanley worked as a farmer his whole life. He served as volunteer Fireman in Douglas. He was also on the Douglas United Methodist Church Board and the Otoe County Rural Water Board District 3.

Stanley is survived by his Wife Judy Strong Hunt, Daughter Melanie Hunt Hecker & Son-in-law David Hecker, Son Christopher Hunt, Grandchildren: John, Patrick & Katie Hecker, Rylee Hunt, Sister Sharon (Bill) White, Brother-in-law; Russell Strong, Also nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, Father & Mother-in-law, Grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at 9 A.M. on Friday July 6, 2012 at the Rosehill Cemetery in Douglas, Nebraska. Church services will also be held on Friday July 6 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Douglas, Nebraska with Rev. Lyn Seiser officiating.

The family suggests memorials to the Douglas United Methodist Church.
There will be no visitation.
