Stella B. Wiegert was born on October 9, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Stanislaw & Helen (Sierocka) Ostrowski. She passed away on Sunday June 24, 2012 at the Gretna Community Living Center in Gretna, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 15 days.

Stella married Lenard D. Wiegert on November 27, 1943 in New York City, New York and to this union they had 2 children Barbara and Leonard Jr.

Stella is survived by Barbara (Lloyd) Gray, daughter (Omaha, NE), Leonard Wiegert Jr., son (Madison, WI). Grandchildren – Lisa (Robert) Goldsmith, Michael (Kristie) Gray, Kelly (David) Epperson (Omaha, NE); Sandra (Eric) Franco (Madison, WI), Nicholas (Tonya) Wiegert (Sun Prairie, WI), Timothy (Laura) Wiegert (Plymouth, MN). Great grandchildren – Matthew, Erika & Jordan Goldsmith, Brittany & Nathan Thue, Nolan Gray (Omaha); Samantha & Sydney Franco (Madison, WI); Tristan Wiegert (Sun Prairie, WI). As well as numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Lenard Wiegert, parents Helen & Stanislaw Ostrowski; sisters Frances Savvas, Jean (James) Monroe, Helen Humowicki, Dolores Humowicki; brothers Joseph (Estelle) Ostrowski, and Edward Humowicki.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 5, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Gretna, Nebraska.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 3, 2012 from 5 until 7 P.M. with the Rosary starting at 7 P.M. all at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Gretna.

Burial will be at the Wiegert Cemetery in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Gretna, Nebraska or St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse, Nebraska.
