Steven “Steve” A. Wilson, 71, of Dunbar, passed away on November 12, 2025, at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on October 21, 1954, to Charlie & Carol (Churchill) Wilson in Lincoln.

Steve graduated from Crete High School and on April 21, 1990, he was united in marriage to his soulmate Cathy Bouse in Dunbar.

Most recently Steve worked in the kitchen at Nebraska City High School. Prior to that, he drove box trucks for Midlands Packaging in Lincoln and concrete trucks. Known for his willingness to serve his community, Steve was an active member of the Dunbar Town Board, where he had already dedicated ten years of service. He took special pride in caring for the flowers along Dunbar’s main street and the flowers around his home. He also enjoyed Husker football, dancing and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter, Joni Wilson; father, Charlie Wilson; sister, Julie Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Wilson.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Dunbar Community Building.
