Obituary

Sylvia Anne Carter was born to Roy and Lucy (Calder) Carter on The Fourth of July in 1944 in Mullins, South Carolina.  She died unexpectedly on July 2, 2019 at Bellevue Medical Center, Bellevue, Nebraska at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 28 days.

Sylvia married Roger Spencer on November 20, 1966.  To this union, two children were born – Steven and Cheryl.  On May 16 th , 1987 she married Larry Andersen and made her home in Louisville, Nebraska.  Larry died on Thursday, March 8, 2007. Sylvia worked at the Louisville Care Community cleaning, cooking, and doing whatever needed to be done.  She was a valuable employee for the Care Community. Sylvia loved music – especially old country like Patsy Cline and George Jones.  She was a member of the Red Barn Opry and most recently sang with the band, "Vintage Wine". She truly enjoyed being with her family as often as was possible.

Relatives Surviving Sylvia include her Mother – Lucy Carter; Brother – Glenn Carter, and Sister – Sandra Carter; Son - Steven and wife Anne Spencer; Daughter - Cheryl and husband Brad Perkins; Grandchildren – Justin Spencer, Kayla Spencer, Jordan Perkins, Tanner Perkins, Brett Spencer, and Bridget Spencer, 3 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Dad – Roy Carter, brother – Ronald Carter, and husband Larry Andersen.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM , at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home Chapel, 413 Elm Street, Louisville, NE, 402-234-3985

No visitation. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Louisville, Nebraska
