Obituary

Sylvia Antholz was born September 3, 1924 in Syracuse, Nebraska to Henry and Helen Antholz. Sylvia graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in social work which she practiced in large part at Denver General Hospital until 1989 when she retired.

Sylvia spent most of her adult life in Denver, Colorado where she developed a vast network of friendships through her work, teaching, and travel. Sylvia traveled the world and collected many items such as antique Fiestaware, fine china and first edition books. Sylvia was an avid reader and enjoyed passing on her passion to everyone around her including the construction of a library in her home town of Syracuse, Nebraska. Sylvia died December 27, 2012 at Dayton Assisted Living in Denver, Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ralph Antholz, and her nephew Ralph Antholz Kennedy.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Kennedy and husband Clay Kennedy, nieces Linda Lueders of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nancy Wheeler of Brownville, Nebraska, and nephew Stephen Kennedy of Brownville, Nebraska.
