Teresa M. Brandt, 82 of Syracuse, passed away April 25, 2018 at Linden View Assisted Living in Syracuse. She was born September 15, 1935 to Dennis & Mary (Kempkes) Royal on the family farm near Douglas, NE.

Teresa married Donald Brandt on June 7, 1955 at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. She received her teaching certificate from Peru State College and taught country school for a few years. She later worked as a child care provider for many years. She was a member of the CMH Hospital Aux., American Legion Aux. #360 in Cook, ladies extension club and TOPS. She was also active at St. Paulinus Catholic Church and in the Altar Society.

She is survived by her Daughters: Sandra Leeling of Lincoln, Nancy Hauschild & Amy Brandt both of Syracuse; Grandchildren: Nick Leeling & Troy Leeling both of Omaha, Alexia (Joe) Cruz of Lincoln, Natalie Hauschild of Syracuse, Ashley Griswell & Rylan Wilson of Syracuse, Rachel Griswell of Lincoln; Great Grandchildren: Austin Leeling of Omaha, Cozette & Theodore Cruz of Lincoln, Karson & Declan Wilson of Syracuse; Sister: Bertha Malone of Palmyra; also many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Linda Kay Brandt, siblings: Emil, Bill, Dennis, Joe, John, Mike, Margaret, Martha, Mary, Josephine, Helena, Francis and 4 infant siblings.

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse. Burial will be held at Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, April 27 from 9 A.M. until 4 P.M. at the funeral home, then family will greet friends from 6 P.M. until 7 P.M. with the Rosary at 7 P.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church.

Memorials are suggested to the Family's Choice.
