Terri Lynn “Dolly” (Barton) Sheldon passed away June 15, 2026, at her home in Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 71 years. She was born to Dennie and Pat (Renner) Barton on March 25, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Omaha and Springfield, graduating from Platteview High School in 1973.

After graduating, she worked hard to raise her children and make every house a home, including a beautiful and bountiful garden every year.

On October 9, 2004, Terri married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Sheldon, Sr. They spent their time laughing, gardening, fishing, and Harley-riding, prioritizing time with family and friends. She loved to craft and had endless honey-do lists for Bob to bring her creative ideas to life. He adoringly obliged.

Terri is lovingly remembered by her husband Robert Sheldon; children Bill (Carrie) Arnold, Eddie Arnold, Dennie (Melissa) Arnold, Trisha (Erik) Bender, and stepson Robert (Michele) Sheldon, Jr.; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Denise (Dan) Matson and Chris (Donna) Barton. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Korbin Arnold, and siblings Benny Barton and Bonnie Walker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse, NE. Burial will follow in the Otoe Cemetery, with a reception following at St. John's Lutheran Church in Otoe.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
