Terry "Zippy" J. Sailor, 75 of Syracuse passed away on March 19, 2018 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on April 29, 1942 to Harlan & Muriel (Morrison) Sailor in Arnold, NE.

Zippy married Marion Kasper in 1964 and had one son, Paul. He married Dorothy (Voyles) Vogt on July 29, 1983 at Rocket Lanes in Syracuse. He owned Rocket Lanes for 25 years and afterwards worked at the Syracuse Country Club and Triple D's. Zippy bowled, golfed and played pool in many leagues and served as a secretary for the Southeast Nebraska Pool League and Syracuse golf leagues.  He was a past president of the Nebraska Bowling Proprietors Association, was inducted into the Bowling Proprietors Hall of Fame and bowled in 43 USBC National Bowling Tournaments. Zippy also was a fast pitch softball player and coach, and hosted many cribbage tournaments. He served as president of the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by his Wife: Dorothy "Dot" Sailor of Syracuse; Son: Paul Sailor of Houston, TX; Step-Son: Jeff (Angie) Vogt of Syracuse; Grandchildren: Ben & Haley Sailor of Houston, TX, Andrew Vogt of Avoca and Adam (Kristen) Vogt of Omaha; Sisters: Sherrie Corbin of Anchorage, AK, Jo (Ervan) Groves and Mickey Gray of Oshkosh; Brother-in-law: Carl (Maggie) Voyles of Elmwood; Sister-in-law: Ella Johnson of Avoca; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother & sister-in-law: Bob (Ruby) Sailor, brother-in-law: Roger Gray, brother-in-law: Harry Voyles and sister-in-law: Connie Yegge.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 23 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the Syracuse Country Club, Syracuse Rescue Squad and Syracuse Fire Department.
