Obituary

Thelma was born in Cedar Creek, Nebraska on March 23, 1924 to Emma S. Warren and George Miller. She passed away on Wednesday, July 15th at the Louisville Care center, Louisville, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 22 days.

On June 12, 1944, Thelma married Merlin E. Baker at Plattsmouth, Nebraska. To this union, 7 children were born – Norman, Gary, Kenneth, Jane, Pamela, Norma Jean and Cheryl. Thelma was a homemaker in the true sense of the word. She made their house a home. Thelma was a member of the Louisville First United Church, and the United Methodist Women. She served many funeral luncheons. Thelma loved to sing and her favorite song was "In the Garden" Most of all she enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

Thelma is survived by sons, Norman Baker & wife Susie, of Atascadero, CA, Gary Baker & wife Carolyn, of Cedar Creek, NE, Kenneth Baker & wife Judy, of Boise, ID, daughters Jane Herrington & husband Mitch, of Council Bluffs, IA, Pamela Chubb & husband Larry, of Plattsmouth, NE, Norma Jean Nessen & husband William, of Louisville, NE, and Cheryl Kupke & husband Marvin, of Louisville, NE, 15, grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, brothers Morris Miller & wife Eileen, of Louisville, NE, Gene Miller, of Anaheim, CA, Wayne Miller & wife Judy, of Cedar Creek, NE, and sister Patricia Black, of Clear Water, FL


She was preceded in death by her husband Merlin on 12-23-86, Parents - George & Emma Miller, brother James Miller, sister-in-law Iris Miller and sister-in-law Elizabeth Miller.

Memorial Services will be, Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 10:30 A.M. First United Methodist Church, Louisville, Nebraska
