Theresa L. (Hobbs) Chriswisser age 60 of Nehawka, Nebraska passed away surrounded by family on April 9, 2024 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was born on July 30, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska to John L. and Margaret J. (Sudyka) Hobbs.

Theresa grew up in Cedar Creek and graduated from Louisville High School in 1981.  Shortly after graduation she began a career in the Health Insurance Industry as a business analyst.  She was united in marriage to Wayne Chriswisser on September 11, 1982 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Manley, Nebraska.  Together they raised one daughter, Kelly.

For more than 25 years, Theresa dedicated herself to the Louisville Fire and Rescue department, embodying the spirit of service to her community. Beyond her professional commitments, she found joy in crafting, reading, embarking on UTV riding trips, camping adventures in their RV, and cherishing moments with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Chriswisser of Nehawka, NE, daughter, Kelly Chriswisser of Omaha, NE, mother, Margaret Hobbs of Papillion, NE, siblings, Jeff (Lisa) Hobbs of Gretna, NE, Cheryl (Joe) Smisek of Gretna, NE, David (Denise) Hobbs of Louisville, NE, Jane Hobbs of Gretna, NE, Mary (Chris) Bland of Papillion, NE, Tim Hobbs of Papillion, NE, sister-in-law, Bev (Bob Labenz) Maier of Louisville, NE.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her father, John Hobbs, parents-in-law, Bud and Ana Marie Chriswisser.

The family will have a private service followed by burial in Glendale Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Lilac Hill Event Center, 14704 156th St, Louisville, NE 68037.

Memorial in lieu of flowers may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the family for future designation.
