Thomas C. Ament, 68 of Syracuse formerly of Burr, passed away on January 5, 2021 in Lincoln. He was born on December 13, 1952 to Bernard "Barney" & Iola (Wilkinson) Ament in Beatrice. Thomas married Marcella "Pete" Parde on April 16, 1977 in Beatrice.

Thomas worked as a painter at UNL for 35 years. He was on the Village of Burr Board and Burr Fire Department for many years. Thomas had a love of fishing, hunting and gardening especially growing melons, zucchini and cucumbers to share with family and friends. Also enjoyed following Nebraska sports, traveling and spending time with friends.

He is survived by his Wife: Marcella "Pete" Ament; Siblings: James (Ann) Ament, Judy (Phil) Knowles, Mary Jo Trebold, Patty (Mike) Ramsey, Michael Ament; In-laws: Melvin & Peggy Parde, John & Joyce Wolff; also many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers: William & Robert Ament, Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Alvin & Leona Parde and In-laws: Lavern & Deb Parde.

Private family service will be Saturday, January 9 at 10 A.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse. It will be livestreamed on the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Facebook page with a link posted on the Fusselman website.

Visitation will be Friday, January 8 from 9 A.M until 9 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.
