Timothy Ray Jones age 60 of Council Bluffs, IA formerly of Louisville, NE passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the Avoca Specialty Care Center in Avoca, Iowa.  He was born on December 7, 1962, in Omaha, Nebraska to Oscar Raymond and Patricia Joan (Gerdes) Jones.

Tim grew up in Louisville and graduated from Louisville High School in 1981. Throughout his life he worked in a variety of jobs including as a cook for Happy Chef, Village Inn and Sapp Brothers. He also worked for Younkers, Montgomery Ward, and the Louisville Care Center.

He was an avid racing fan and in his younger years raced cars with his dad throughout the area. He was a talented self-taught musician who could play just about any instrument he was given, however enjoyed playing the guitar the most. When he had free time, you would find him fishing, camping, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his children, Nathan (fiancé Jessica Smith) Jones of Tennessee, Dennis (Angel) Jones of Oregon, Jason Jones of South Carolina, Corey (Eva) Jones of Oregon, 13 grandchildren, mother, Patricia Buzzard, siblings, Tammy Poldberg of Elk Horn, IA, Diana (Scott) Wildrick of Jacksonville, FL, Karen (Randy) Duryea of Piedmont, SD, Buddy (Rachael) Jones of Council Bluffs, IA, Theresa (Ann) Jones of Idaho Falls, ID, Cindy (Cedric) Wooledge of Hickman, NE. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, granddaughter, Olivia, and brother Dennis Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Louisville, Nebraska with Rev. Dean McPherson officiating.

Visitation with family will be Friday, April 29, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home, Louisville, NE.

The burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for the purchase of a cemetery marker for Tim.
