Todd Gregory Dorn, 62, of Cook, NE passed away on August 2, 2026. He was born March 14, 1964, in Tecumseh, NE. Todd was the youngest child of 6 and youngest son of George and Marie (Zimmerman) Dorn and grew up on the family farm southwest of Cook, NE.
Todd was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church, Cook, NE and graduated high school at Nemaha Valley in 1983. After graduation he worked on the family farm and as a farm hand for in rural Talmage for the Rolfing family. He worked for 20+ years at Concrete Industries, cut and sold firewood most of his life and was adept handyman for many.
Todd did not marry nor did he have children, nonetheless he was a loving and proud son, brother, uncle and a friend to many. He was known for helping family and friends in any way he was able and was a loving and supportive "older brother" to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed playing pool, spending time with his family and friends and was an avid clock collector.
Todd is survived by sisters; Judy (Norm) Schachenmeyer of Aurora, Rojane (Ron) Barrett of Harrisburg; brother, Edgar (Janet) Dorn of Beatrice; brother-in-law, Jack Ewing, Jr of Litchfield, KY; sister-in-law, Ferne Dorn of Bloomsburg, PA; very special friend, Debbie Young of Syracuse; nieces and nephews; Justin (Angie) Ewing, Tish (Scott) Necessary, Kindra (Sam) Jones; Darren (Jennifer) Schachenmeyer, Tonya (Bob) Smith; Rick (Jackie) Barrett, Ranae (Glenn) Hesseltine, Ryan (Tracie) Barrett, Rex Barrett; Nathan (Michele) Dorn, Jason (Joy) Dorn, Travis Dorn, Rachelle (Jesse) Grof; Jeremy (Kim) Dorn, Brian (Christine) Dorn, Melissa (Zeb) Krepps; many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; and many life-long friends.
He preceded in death by his parents; oldest sister, Verda K Ewing; brother, Jerry G Dorn; and sister-in-law, Wanda Dorn.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Cook. Burial will follow at the Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, from 1 PM until 8 PM with family greeting friends from 5-8 PM at the funeral home in Syracuse, NE.
Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
