Trixy Lee (Lewis) Ziemann, (65) one of the hardest hitting softball playing tomboys, who grew up to be a loving wife and mother passed away on her birthday, Sunday, September 9, 2012, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Trixy was born on September 9, 1947, the first of 6 children of Glenn and Leona (Lemka) Lewis in Nebraska City, NE. She graduated from Syracuse High School.

Trixy was a member of the United Methodist Church of Unadilla, NE. She was an employee of State Farm Insurance for 43 years ending her career as an Underwriting Superintendent; she was well liked and regarded by everyone. Trixy & Russell made their home the family hub to everyone. Christmas was their favorite holiday where they hosted the family Christmas' for many years, with excessive amounts of decorations, food and gifts. Their generosity knew no bounds.

Survivors: sons & daughters-in-law, Darin & Michele, Shane & Stacy both of Syracuse, NE. Mother, Leona Lewis of Unadilla, brothers & sisters Tom & Jo Lewis, Unadilla, Jack Lewis, Unadilla, Jerry & Carol Lewis of West Des Moines, IA, Nancy & Arlan Liesemeyer of Unadilla, Sally & Lloyd Peterson of Syracuse, NE, and along with many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell and her father Glenn Lewis.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 11th, from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. with family receiving friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse, NE. Graveside services at Unadilla Cemetery, Unadilla, NE at 2PM Wednesday, September 12th.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, Planned Parenthood, or Cedars Children's Home.
