Verneda Kimbell was born on May 21, 1924 in Syracuse, Nebraska to Fred and Agnes (Puvogel) Hagerman. She passed away on Saturday July 30, 2011 at Tabitha in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 2 months, and 9 days.

Verneda married Marvin Kimbell on June 6, 1948 at First Lutheran (First Branch) Church. To this union they raised 4 children, Norene, Keith, Curtis, Craig. She was a member of the Church Auxiliary and Russell Creek Neighborhood Club. She enjoyed both her vegetable garden and flower garden.

She is survived by her Daughter: Norene (Fred) Steele of Lincoln, NE, Sons: Keith (Sandi) Kimbell of Unadilla, NE, Curtis Kimbell of Palmyra, NE, Craig (Chris) Kimbell and of Unadilla, NE, 7 Grandchildren, Stephanie Kuhn (Bill); Nicole Spanel (Paul), Adair Kimbell, Andrew Kimbell, Mitchell Kimbell, Hannah Kimbell, Nathan Kimbell, 3 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, Scott Remmington and wife Rachelle, Nick Peterson (Tamara), Dustin Peterson, 6 Step Great Grandchildren, Sisters-in-law Opal Sylvester, of Lincoln, NE, and Marie Stubbendeck, of Unadilla, NE, Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Marvin, Parents, and brother Kenneth Hagerman

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Syracuse, Nebraska with Rev. Sharon Morrow officiating.

Visitation will be Monday from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse, Nebraska.

The family suggests memorials to St. John's United Church of Christ or Unadilla Rescue Squad.
