Verona Marie Ruenholl was born December 11, 1933, in Syracuse, NE, to Elmer and Leta (Witt) Fritzemeyer. She passed away on May 21, 2010, at the Independence House, in Lincoln, NE, at the age, of 76 years, 5 months, and 10 days.

Verona married Marvin Ruenholl, on October 21, 1952, at St. John's United Church of Christ, and to this union they raised 3 children Ronnie, Verissa, and Keith. She had taught Sunday School at McWilliams United Church of Christ, near Lorton, NE for many years, and served as a Leader in the farm neighborhood 4-H Club, also a memmber of the SYRA-MC-DEL's Club. Verona enjoyed working on the family farm East of Syracuse, before moving to Hastings. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, tending her flowers and canning.

Verona is survived by her children, Ronnie Ruenholl and wife Brenda, of Blair, NE Verissa Beatty and husband Charles, of Denver, CO, and Keith Ruenholl and wife Shelley, of Belton, MO, grand children, Ryan & Rebecca Ruenholl, and Christopher and Amber Beatty.

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 24, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ, Syracuse, NE, with Graveside Services at 4:00 P.M. at Parkview Cemetery, in Hasting, NE.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., with family greeting friends from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., at the Funeral Home.
