Viola was born December 5, 1922, to Floyd &Flossie (Luff) Rodaway. She passed away at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 8 days.

Viola married Harold Eugene Maloy, on May 21, 1942, in the Paisley Congregational Church, in the Paisley Community (1st couple to be married in the newly built Church). To this union they raised Ralph, and Rose Ann. She taught School for 35 years, in various Country Schools and finished her career in the Elmwood Public Schools. Viola was a member of Unadilla Methodist Church, Methodist Women, NEA, she also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, and reading.

Viola is survived by her son Ralph Maloy and wife Jan, of Unadilla, NE, daughter Rose Ann Duncan and husband Norman, of Unadilla, NE, grandchildren Shawn Maloy and wife Stacey, of Omaha, NE, Todd Maloy and wife Nicole, of Clemmons, NC, David Maloy and wife Allison, of Omaha, NE, Brian Duncan and wife Cari, of Sawyer, ND, step grandchildren Mike Duncan and wife Gina, and Larry Duncan and wife Kim both of Lincoln, NE, 7 great grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.

Viola is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Flossie Rodaway, husband Eugene and granddaughter Connie Duncan.

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 17, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Unadilla United Methodist Church, Unadilla, NE, with burial in the Unadilla Cemetery, Unadilla, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the Unadilla Rescue Squad or Family's Choice.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 2 P.M. until 9 P.M., and Sunday May 16th, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., with the family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. all at the Funeral Home.
