Viola Faye Thomson was born, at Palmyra, Nebraska, on July 27, 1915, to George & Jess (Bunten) Lanning. She passed away, Sunday, February 14, 2010, at the Ambassador Nursing Home, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age 94 years, 6 months, and 18 days.

Viola married George Thomson, on November 6, 1935, in Palmyra, Nebraska, and to this union they raised 3 children Georgia, Carolyn, and Keith. Being a Farm wife Viola always had a big garden, and chores, and was a member of the Palmyra Presbyterian Church Ladies Club.

Viola is survived by her daughter Georgia & husband Rev. Charles Bulger, of Omaha, NE, daughter Carolyn & husband John Golden, of Elmwood, NE, son Keith & wife Cindy Thomson, of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren Laura & husband Rev. Jeff Warrick, of Lincoln, NE, Sherri & husband Cletus Holmes, of Miller, NE, James & wife Tashina Golden, of Kansas City, MO, Amber Thomson, of Arlington, VA, Brandon Thomson, of Lincoln, NE, 9 great grandchildren Shannon, Shelby, and Shealyn Warrick, Kaylinda, and Harrison Holmes, Alexi, Quinn, Beau, Samantha Golden, 3 sister-in-laws Dorothy Griess, of Lincoln, NE, Alma Caddy, of Lincoln, NE, May Lamb, of Unadilla, NE.

Viola is preceded in Death by her parents, George & Jesse Lanning, husband George Thomson, granddaughter Leonaye Bulger, brothers Elmer & sister-in-law Fern Lanning, Orris & sister-in-law Esther Lanning, sister Gladys & brother-in-law Harvey

Funeral Services will be Wednesday 2:00 P.M., February, 17, 2010, at the Palmyra Presbyterian, of Palmyra, Nebraska. Family Suggests Memorials To: Palmyra Presbyterian Church, or Palmyra Senior Center.
