Vivian Lee Kousgaard age 61 of Louisville, NE passed away at her home in Louisville on Sunday, November 7, 2021.  She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 20, 1960 to Joseph F. and Mona R. (Ross) Hanel.

Vivian grew up in the Ralston area and graduated from Ralston High School in 1979.  She worked for many years as a seamstress for the Dehner Company in Omaha, Nebraska.  She met Glenn T. Kousgaard and the two were united in marriage on March 1, 1986 at Dinkers Hall in Omaha, Nebraska.

She was an avid softball player for many years in the Omaha area.  She was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker and San Francisco 49'ers Fan.  She had a great love for the many cats and dogs that shared her home throughout the years.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Glenn Kousgaard of Louisville, NE, mother, Mona Hanel of LaVista, NE, brother, Les Hanel of Papillion, NE, brothers-in-law, William (Patty) Kousgaard of Carter Lake, IA, Eric (Erin) Kousgaard of Papillion, NE, sisters-in-law, Lori (Tom Johannes) Kousgaard of Elkhorn, NE, Julie Hanel of Omaha, NE.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Hanel, brother, John Hanel, sisters, Sue Ann Hanel and Mary Lou Bezek and brother-in-law, Andy Kousgaard.

A Celebration of Vivian's Life will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Lakeview Bible Church, 1651 Ave Q, Carter Lake, IA 51510.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the start of the Service at the Church.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
