Obituary

Wallace was born to Carl and Anna (Bornemeier) Richert on July 18, 1926 in Wabash, Nebraska as the youngest of four sons. He was raised and schooled in the Murdock area. On June 21, 1950, he was united in marriage to Agnes Mae Wiles. Wally and Agnes made their home in Murdock, Nebraska living in the same house for the 51 years they were married. To this union three children were born, Jacquelyn, James, and Joel. Wally worked for Cass County on road maintenance and then at Ash Grove Cement Plant on the repair gang from 1957 to 1987. Wally had a gift for work working, as evidenced by the many fine furniture pieces, frames and clocks he made for family and friends. Many of the area churches have stackable plant stands that he made. Wally lived to watch sporting events and attend many Elmwood-Murdock games. He was a huge Nebraska football and volleyball fan. He and Agnes loved to travel and they made many trips to Branson, to visit family, and other areas of interest.

After Agnes died in 2001, Wally continued to reside in his home in Murdock until July of 2012, when he moved to Oxbow Living Center in Ashland, Nebraska. He moved to Gretna Community Living Center in Gretna Nebraska in August 2014 where he passed away.
