Walter Doyel LeRoy was born June 12, 1938 in Missouri to Elwood and Elva (Cooley) LeRoy. He died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Independence House, Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 78 years, 1 month, and 9 days.

Doyel was a member of Iron workers Local 21 of Omaha, and he loved playing softball and golf.

Doyel is survived by his son Randy LeRoy and Carol Donnelly, of Gretna, NE, and daughter Shari Keefe, of Lincoln, NE, 3 grandchildren, Dustin King, Travis Keefe, and Tiffany King, and 2 great grandchildren, sister Judy Root, of Manley, NE, and brother-in-law James Kritenbrink, of Gretna, NE

He was preceded in death by parents Elwood and Elva LeRoy, sister Myrna, and brother-in-law Jim Root

Memorial Service will Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., at Fusselman Allen Harvey Funeral Home, 413 Elm, Louisville, Nebraska, with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Louisville, Nebraska. Family is designating memorials to be given for staff appreciation for the caring employees of Independence House of Lincoln, Nebraska. Lunch will be served after burial service at the Louisville Senior Center 423 Elm Street, Louisville, Nebraska.

Visitation, with NO viewing, will be Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
