Wendell Orest Cook was born March 6, 1920, in Elmwood, Nebraska, to Orest and Elsie (Turner) Cook. He passed away on, Thursday, September 24, 2009, at Haven Manor, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 89 years, 6 months, and 18 days.

Wendell married Audrey Carlson, on February 19, 1949, in Lincoln, Nebraska, and to this union they raised Gloria, and Scott. He is a member of Canopy Lodge 209, of Elmwood, NE OES Ideal Chapter 181, of Elmwood, NE, Scottish Rite, Sesostris Shrine, Moose Lodge, of Lincoln, NE and Shrine Cushman and Shrine Harley Motor Corps.

Wendell is survived by his wife Audrey Cook, of Alvo, NE, daughter Gloria Eikerman, of Alvo, NE, Scott & wife Emilie Cook, of Elmwood, NE, grandchildren Kent & wife Carrie Eikerman, of Greenwood, NE, Russ Eikerman, of Lincoln, NE, Shayna Cook, of Lincoln, Jeremy Cook, of Lincoln, NE, 2 great grandchildren, along with many friends.

Wendell is preceded in Death by: his parents, his first wife Helen, son-in-law Gene Eikerman

Memorial Services will be Monday, September 28, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, of Elmwood, NE

VISITATION will be Sunday, September 27, 2009, from 12 Noon until 9 P.M. with a Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M.
