Wilbur John Meisinger, age 90, passed away April 25, 2023, at home, in Louisville, Nebraska. He was born May 20, 1932, to Harley and Amanda Meisinger in Nehawka, Nebraska and was one of four children. The family later moved to Weeping Water, where he attended school and graduated with the class of 1950. After graduation, Willy joined the Armed Forces, where he served during the Korean War from 1950 – 1952. In 1954, he began working at Ash Grove Cement Company, where he worked his way up to Heavy Equipment Operator. Overall, he worked there for 43 years, retiring in 1997.

In 1975, Wilbur met the love of his life, Linda Schliefert. They were united in holy matrimony on February 19, 1977. This union was blessed with two children. Wilbur was a car enthusiast, with a love for Fords and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a huge Husker football fan and a season ticket holder. Wilbur also loved Omaha Lancer Hockey, bowling, and in his youth, enjoyed ballroom dancing.

Wilbur is preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Amanda Meisinger, brothers, Gene and Dale Meisinger, sister, Lavonne Meisinger, wife, Linda Meisinger, and an unborn grandchild.

He is survived by his children Brad (Tiffany) Meisinger and Brenda (Gabriel) Ahlers, eight grandchildren – Kayanna, Tabor, Keegan, Drezik, Aiden, Journey, Sophia, and Paisley, and sister-in-law Donna Meisinger.

Funeral Services will be Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Louisville, NE.  Livestreaming will be available on the Funeral Home Facebook Page.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
