William B. "Bill" Baier, age 88 of Syracuse, NE passed away on February 22, 2014 at the Havelock Manor in Lincoln, NE. He was born on February 6, 1926 to John E & Rosa Lee (Bates) Baier.

William married Mary Ellen Alberry on December 3, 1956 in Omaha, NE. He retired from Western Electric after 31 years. He also farmed. Bill enjoyed Dancing and listening to Polka and Country music.

He is survived by his Children David Baier of Phoenix, AZ, Jeanette (Daniel) Krog of Lincoln, NE, Robert Lee Baier of Syracuse, NE, Gerald William Baier of Omaha, NE, 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, Brother James (Sandra) Baier of Fort Smith, AR, Sisters-in-law: Evelyn Baier of Avoca, NE, Jeanie Fritcher of Rotchester, MN, Brother-in-law: Donald (Susan) Alberry of Omaha, NE, Longtime Friend of 20 years: Betty Walters of Lincoln, NE.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Mary Ellen in 1993 and 12 Brothers & Sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse, NE. Interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 26 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

The family suggests memorials to the Family's Choice.
