William E. "Bill" Irland was born in Otoe, NE, March 1, 1933 to Ralph R. and Alice (Tibbetts) Irland and passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, NE on December 28, 2016 at the age of 83.

Bill married Merna Sporhase on April 26, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Otoe.

He is survived by his wife: Merna; sisters-in-law: Colleen (Ralph D.) Irland and Lucille (Kenneth L.) Irland; brothers-in-law: Robert (Billie) Sporhase and Roland (Joyce) Sporhase; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and families.

He was preceded in death by parents; sister: Willa Mae (Burt) West; brothers: Ralph D. Irland and Kenneth L. Irland.

There will be no services as Bill donated his body to the Nebraska Anatomical Board for medical research.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
