Obituary

Wilma Mae Gearhart was born on October 15, 1935 in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania to William & Katherine (Johnson) Wilson. She passed away on November 29, 2011 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, NE. She married Robert Gearhart on June 17, 1960 in the Lady Chapel at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, PA.

Wilma graduated Latin Salutatorian from the Philadelphia High School for Girls. She later received her teaching degree from Millersville State Teachers college in Millersville, PA. She also did graduate work at Temple
University and the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She taught Elementary and Special Ed in Philadelphia, PA, Delafield, WI, Elkhorn Valley, NE,
Valentine, NE and Western, NE for a total of 40 years. She was also an accomplished organ and piano player and avid walker.

She is survived by her husband The Reverend Robert Gearhart of Syracuse, NE, Sons, Robert Jr. of Gallup, NM and Christopher & Kris of Plattsmouth, NE, Grandson, Michael of Plattsmouth, Sister, Catherine Sargent of Narberth, PA, God son, John Sargent of Kent, OH and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents & nephew William Sargent.

Funeral Services will be 11 AM, Tuesday December 6th at St. Charles the Martyr Episcopal Church in Fairbury, NE.

No visitation due to cremation.
