Wilmer "Pete" Wohlers, 89 of Syracuse, NE passed away March 23, 2014 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. He was born on February 1, 1925 to Henry & Anna (Kirchhoff) Wohlers in Rural Syracuse, NE.

Pete married Joan A. Hespen on October 19, 1944 at the First Lutheran Church. He served in the Navy as a Seabee. Pete retired from Ash Grove. He was a member of the Mid-Otoe County VFW #5547 in Syracuse and American Legion Post #237 in Weeping Water.

He is survived by his Sons: Ron Wohlers & Wife: Diana, Weeping Water, NE; Gary Wohlers & Wife: Barb, Plattsmouth, NE; Mike Wohlers & Special Friend Linda Simoneau of Gretna, NE; Daughters: Sue Jordan & Husband: Bob, LaVista, NE; Cindy Kreifels & Husband: Kevan, Lincoln, NE; former Daughter-in-law: Terrie Wohlers, Gretna, NE; 12 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; Brother Wayne Wohlers & Wife: Paula Syracuse, NE; Sisters-in-law: Janice Meadows, Syracuse, NE, Janet Kreifels & Husband: Milton, Syracuse, NE.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Joan; Brother: August Wohlers; Sister: Luetta Eloge; Granddaughter: Pamela Wohlers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 27 at 10 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in rural Avoca. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 26 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 7 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the First Lutheran Church (North Branch).
